How Catch-N Kids Works

Catch-N KIDS is an information resource for
K-12th grade school teachers to access outdoor information left at
Catch-N.com by outdoor professionals. Much of this information is not found in books.
We invite school teachers to share with this information with your
classes. You may also ask questions and communicate with the
authors of the information on these forums.
Attention...SCHOOL TEACHERS
K-12 schools across America can invite knowledgeable outdoor
professionals into their classrooms using the school computer! This is
a fun and innovative way to learn about the outdoors online. It is
easy, just register a user-name on our Catch-n FORUMS using your

If it happens in the outdoors... you can learn
about it in your classroom. You may learn how to build a
campfire today. Tomorrow, you could learn how to catch a catfish or a
tuna. The next day, your class may learn how to smoke a fish or see the
making of
a birch bark canoe.
Teachers, your class may learn information that is
not found in any school book. Access tons of outdoor information at the Catch-N KIDS area ov Catch-N FOrUMS.
Catch-n KIDS allows your class
to "chat" with our list of outdoor professionals in a SAFE and friendly
learning environment. Students learn from live dialogue with a person
who is a professional in what they do best! Classes can view photos or
digital video clips and have live web cam interaction.
Students may ask questions and get answers to those questions
instantly! Some of these
"chats" may originate from other classrooms by use of a live webcam!
One of our Catch-n Kids Pro-Staff associates may also come to your school.

How a Catch-N KIDS Outdoor Live-Chat in class works:
Teachers can register on the Catch-N.com forum in the Catch-N KIDS area to attend these live
discussion "chats". Chats are held in a forum basis and on various outdoor topics. Each schoolroom's registration
information may be displayed to show the school name and where the
school is located. The name and location of the school is displayed
each time a
post is made with a question or comment. More than one classroom can
attend the same topic. Catch-nKIDS pro-staff associates can answer specific questions
made by individuals in each class by school name or by the student's
first name of individual classmates (if first name is given). Sessions on topics last
from 15 minutes to an hour and may be joined by other schools while in process.
Catch-nKIDS outdoor professionals list their discussion topics on the
Catch-nKIDS FORUM under "TOPICS". These topics are seen with the dates
and times for the interactive meetings. Each topic lists a suggested
audience rating for classes K-12. These outdoor pros come from the Catch-nKIDS
Pro-Staff and other outdoor information sites across the nation. Many
of our outdoor professionals work for companies that make outdoor
related products, are outdoor radio and TV hosts, are outdoor writers,
and are hunting or fishing guides or may compete in professional
tournament trails. All of
these pros are here to aid in educating America's youth so that they
may fully and safely enjoy the great outdoors. Providing outdoor
information to kids K-12 in a safe and friendly learning environment
over the internet is the Catch-nKIDS goal. Each of our management staff
and pro-staff professionals have been screened for criminal background
and instructed in the use of proper kids forums ethics. Ethnic jokes,
foul language, or sexually suggestive material is not allowed on these
forums. Forums may
contain information on hunting, fishing, camping, boating, sailing,
swimming,
hiking, processing and outdoor cooking of fish or game animals, target
shooting with gun and bow, and making various outdoor related tools,
foods,
clothing, housing or shelters.

Fall Shoreline Fishing
As many
anglers are putting their fishing equipment away and turning their
efforts to the hunting seasons, now is the time to hit the water for
the large fish. Even if you are not able to fish out of a boat,
shoreline fishing at this time of year can be fantastic. There are
going to be days that the fish are not biting but those days that they
are, many and big fish can be caught. This time of year the baitfish in
the lake are getting together in their wintering schools and seeking
out warmer waters. These can be found near shorelines and back-ends of
creeks and the fish are going to follow them where ever they go.
Fishing from shore at this time of year can be very beneficial and
using bigger baits to cover the water are a favorable way to catch
these fish. Big Spinnerbaits, Topwater baits, shallow running
Crankbaits and rattle traps work very well in covering vast amounts of
water. Once fish are located, keep working the area as chances are
there is a school of these fish and an angler can catch a number of
fish in a short amount of time. By fishing from shore in the fall,
casting out into deeper water you are giving the fish an illusion that
your bait is a fleeing baitfish running to shore to escape and this
will get the bigger fish very excited. Don’t put that fishing
equipment away yet as there are many more days and fish to be caught
and by covering some water and shoreline, you will catch some of the
biggest fish of the year....
